PRP poses no additional risks and can be used as a conservative treatment for osteoarthritis in the knee. Patients with knee osteoarthrosis who received PRP intra-articular injections had the best overall success when compared to steroids, hyaluronic acid, and placebo at 3, 6, and 12-month follow-ups.
